CHOOSING THE RIGHT LASHES FOR YOU
TAKE ME TO THE LASHES!-
Length
Lashes vary massively in length, anywhere from 5mm to 30mm with extra lengths beyond these available.
Natural Looks - 5mm - 15 mm; Flirty Looks - 8mm - 20mm; Dramatic Looks - 20mm - 30mm.
If you are new to lashes, natural lengths are definitely the best place to start but there is nothing wrong with being adventurous and diving in the deep end
-
Density
When browsing lash styles, you may come across terms like 3D and 5D. This is just an indicator of the thickness and density of the lashes.
3D lashes - 3 lashes per fan; 5D lashes - 5 lashes per fan.
Essentially a 3D lash is 3 times the fullness of a single layer natural lash, so the higher the number, the more dramatic the lashes !
-
Material
Lashes come made from all types of materials like Mink, Faux Mink, Synthetic Fibres and Human.
The material you choose all falls down to personal preference, and style!
Again its all about exploring your options!
TIPS & TRICKS
-
1. Measure & Trim
Some lashes might be too wide for your lashes, so you will need to measure them and cut it to size. Measure the lashes by placing them on your lash line and then cutting off the excess. Don't throw away the excess, use this to add some more density in other parts of your lashes if you would like!
-
2. Unpacking Your Lashes
When removing your lashes from the lash tray, do this very carefully. Don't pull the lashes from the sides, try folding the tray and removing the lashes by the middle.
-
3. The Lash Band
Try wrapping your lashes around a makeup brush for a few moments before using them to manipulate the shape and create a curve that will fit nicely on your lash line.
-
4. Applying Your Lashes
When applying your lash or eyeliner adhesive, always wait until the product is tacky, wet glue just makes a mess. Apply your glue lightly, and try to apply a little more adhesive to the ends of your lash
Top Tip:Place a mirror below you when applying your lashes to get the best view of your lash line.
-
5. Makeup and Your Lashes
Always apply your lashes after you have done your makeup to avoid products settling on them.
Top Tip:Apply your mascara to your natural lashes, not your falsies to make sure they last as long as possible.
-
6. Cleaning Your Lashes
Use cotton buds and oil-free makeup removers to take off your lashes correctly.
Top Tip: Remove glue residue using tweezers. Place your lashes into water/ a cleaning solution and gently rub them to remove any makeup and set them in a clean place to dry.
